The Department of Environmental Conservation has informed the public of a voluntary recall by Mars Petcare as there is a chance the food is contaminated with Salmonella Schwarzengrund. Some of these products have been found in Alaska and are being removed from retailers’ shelves. However, DEC is suggesting that consumers also check for these products in their homes.

Products effected include Pedigree, Paws & Claws, Special Kitty and Ol’Roy. A full list is available here.
