Voluntary recall including Ol’ Roy and Special Kitty Brands
The West Virginia Commissioner of Agriculture is urging pet owners to check their pet food after salmonella was discovered in some brands sold at Walmart.
The recall includes Special Kitty Products with a “best if used” date of August 11th, 2009, and Ol’ Roy products of September 2nd 2009.
If you think you have purchased contaminated pet food, you are urged to discard it. According to the FDA’s website, customers may also return the empty bags to the store of purchase for a full refund.
